Jean Greenberg - Secretary

Jean is a licensed clinical social worker who graduated from the Social Work Master’s Program at Columbia University in 1967.  She moved to Colorado in September, 1967 to work at the Colorado Mental Health Institute at Ft. Logan  She retired from Ft. Logan in 1994 at which time she became involved with her professional organization, The National Association of Social Workers Colorado Chapter, participating in the Board of Directors and various committees in which she has continued to do so to date.  In December, 2019 she received the Association’s Pioneer Award for the work she has done for the Association as well as in her efforts to ensure voter registration and voting.  She is also supervising social work students and social workers who are fulfilling the state’s requirements for licensure.  She has been volunteering for various state legislators at the state capitol as well as chairing her House District, working with constituents and candidates for local, state and national positions.

 

Jean became involved with EFCONG in 2018 when she became secretary for the organization.  Education is essential to a well functioning society and without which our democracy cannot continue as we now know it.  It is, therefore, essential to support those who wish to participate in a college education and need the help of the Foundation in that effort.
